The short version: this website has no analytics, no cookies of its own, does not track you and does not know who you are. It receives your name and email only if you write to me. That is all. The full detail is below.

What is processed, and why

1. If you write to me

The contact form asks for your name, your email and your message. It goes through Formspree, a service that collects the form and delivers it to me by email; neither this website nor I store anything on the site itself. Messages sent through the contact form, with the email address you give, are delivered by Formspree, the form service I use, which keeps a copy in its dashboard.

If you would rather skip that intermediary, write directly to danielcollada91@gmail.com: it arrives just the same.

• Purpose: to reply to you. Nothing else. You are not added to any list and you will not receive emails you did not ask for.
• Legal basis: your own request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Retention: for as long as the conversation lasts and a reasonable time afterwards, in case it needs picking up.

2. Server logs

The hosting generates access logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser) so that the site works and to detect attacks or abuse. The hosting provider manages them under its own retention periods. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security of the service (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

3. The YouTube videos

Species pages do not load the YouTube player until you show you are staying: your first gesture on the page, or six seconds with the tab in front of you. Until then what you see is an image hosted here and your browser has not spoken to Google. When it loads, it does so against youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and from then on Google's privacy policy applies.

Who else touches this data

Transfers outside the European Economic Area rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. No data is passed to anyone else, none is sold and none is used for advertising.

What is not done

• No Google Analytics or any other analytics.
• No social-network pixels and no advertising.
• No profiling and no automated decisions about you.
• No user accounts and no newsletter.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its rectification or erasure, object to its processing, or ask for restriction or portability. Writing to danielcollada91@gmail.com is answered within the legal deadline.

If you think something has not been done right, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

Minors

This site is not aimed at children under 14 and does not knowingly ask them for data.

Changes

If what the site does with data changes, this page and its date change. The full history is public: this website is generated from a repository and every modification is recorded.
