So what is stored in my browser?
One thing, and it is not a cookie:

That value never leaves your device: it is not sent to any server, it identifies nobody and it cannot be used to follow you anywhere. It is what the law considers technical storage, necessary to provide a service you asked for, and exempt from prior consent.
The videos
Species pages first show a still image hosted on this website.
The YouTube player does not load until you show you are
staying, and when it loads it does so against
youtube-nocookie.com, the privacy-enhanced domain. If you
play the video, Google may store information on your device under its
own cookie policy, over which this website
has no control.
If you would rather that did not happen, do not play the video: the page reads in full without it.
How to clear what there is
From your browser settings, under privacy or browsing data, by clearing the site data for wildlifestoriesai.com. Each browser calls it something different:
If you clear it, the site keeps working exactly the same: it only forgets which theme you had chosen.
If this changes
The day this site uses a real cookie, this page will say so first and the consent banner the law requires will appear. As long as this page says what it says, it is because there is none.
